The timing was perfect, I received the much coveted Stylish Blogger Award from Nicole at The Madlab Post by way of The Stylish Dozen of April's A to Z Challenge just in time for the letter T as in Thank You.
From Madlab Post - To accept the award, you have to do the following:
1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you the award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 10-15 blogs who you think deserve this award.
4. Contact these bloggers and let them know about the award.

So I would like to begin by sending out a great big humongous THANK YOU VERY MUCH for this prestigious honor. I will cherish it always!
Things you may (or may not) know about me:
1. I have always loved to cook. I started when I was about six and a half cooking at my mothers side. By the time I was in high school I was hosting formal dinner parties for my friends.
2. I have a Grand Diplome from Le Cordon Bleu, London, England.
3. I have been married to my sweetheart Steven for 42 years and we have one son Brian who just turned 38. All of this is totally impossible because I am only 35! LOL. Brian has given us the most wonderful "daughter" Eve who he married almost 5 years ago. We have 2 granddogs Sheba and Sadie but no human grandchildren yet.
4. I hated writing in high school and college but now it's one of my favorite pastimes.
5. I am working on two books but of course need to find a publisher. After 17 years in the catering business as the Chef/Owner of Affairs to Remember Catering the first of the books is filled with interesting and humorous stories about events that we catered along with the recipes I developed for our clients. The second book is a family history of my grandparents and mother's escape from Tsarist Russia and their journey to America followed by my memories growing up with the great ethnic food of my heritage and peppered by the recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.
6. I have been told by catering clients, friends and family that I make the best Caesar Salad Dressing ever. I do plan on someday bottling in just as soon as I find a place to do it for me.
7. I don't think this one will come as any surprise to anyone who has been following my blog; I want to cook with Bobby Flay, or have a show on the Food Network or better still have a show with Bobby on the Food Network.

Congrats!!!
Thank you so much.
Congratulations! It was nice to hear more about your background.
Congratulations on Eve joining your family, Sandy. What a beautiful addition. She is lovely.
Just noticed the macarons on the right hand side - I absolutely adore them! Well done on receiving the award!

Those are lovely family photos and wow, you started cooking at the age of 6! You totally have me beat in the kitchen. Years after school, I've still struggled with trying to make pancakes! LOL. I wish you much success with your two books.
I'm surprised that you haven't published a cookbook yet, but since the salad dressing is popular, maybe there is another market (a sort of cookbook on how to make salad dressing) for you to tap into.

What a good idea a cookbook about salads and dressing! I never buy bottled salad dressings because fresh tastes so much better and it's really simple to make.
